The plan for AlUla is ambitious and multifaceted, aiming to transform this historic region into a global destination for culture, nature, and adventure. Development focuses on sustainable and responsible tourism, respecting and preserving the natural and historical integrity of the area. Forging AlUla's Global Tourism Future

Opinno, in collaboration with the Innovation Department, embarked on the ambitious task of transforming AlUla into a global benchmark for sustainable and cultural tourism. Our strategy was based on a visionary and strategic approach, aimed at understanding what the future holds for the tourism sector. To achieve this, we conducted an extensive analysis of 18 key trends, forecasting the evolution of tourism. Furthermore, our exploration of 54 micro-scenarios and 6 mega-concepts laid a solid foundation for AlUla's approach to tourism development, focusing on sustainability and culture

Our commitment went beyond theoretical analysis. We also developed specific innovation tools, ensuring that our solutions were not only forward-thinking but also pragmatic and applicable. Our involvement encompassed a meticulous combination of internal and external evaluations, competitive benchmarking, and stakeholder dialogues.

Our journey in transforming AlUla was an exciting mix of unique challenges and opportunities. As Adrián Núñez, our project manager, described it, it was like «getting on a moving train, but that train is high-speed.»

The uniqueness of this project, as Núñez noted, lay in its ambition, financial backing, and the high level of qualification of the participating teams. For us, this project was not simply about observing the transformation of a nation, but actively participating in one of the world's most significant growth and transformation processes.
