10 Flashes to Understand the State of the Art of Corporate Innovation

The report involved conducting over 100 surveys with innovation directors from large organizations and more than 20 interviews with global experts.
Its main objectives are to expose the level of innovation maturity in large organizations across different sectors, as well as to identify conclusions, define the major challenges presented by corporate innovation, and foster its learning.
Corporate innovation has become a reality in organizations of all types and sectors, becoming increasingly rooted in their structure and decision-making bodies. It represents a path of constant change, full of successes and failures. For this reason, it is especially useful to know what has worked and what has not, and to be inspired by best practices.
What are the reality and challenges of corporate innovation for 2022? What can we learn from the most mature organizations in terms of innovation? The report addresses these key questions inasmuch as their treatment and response can determine the success or failure of any corporate innovation initiative.
“10 Flashes” captures and reflects the current situation. These 10 key learnings have been collaboratively built with a global network of experts on topics such as future, ecosystem, culture, and Venture Capital.
The work was carried out in three phases. Initially, a survey of over 60 questions was conducted, aimed at more than 100 directors of innovation, digital transformation, and similar roles. Subsequently, an in-depth analysis of the data took place, seeking correlations, trends, and discoveries. Finally, this information was completed through interviews and secondary sources, incorporating the opinions of more than 20 recognized experts from the global innovation ecosystem.
We understand that this report is one of the best contributions we can make from Opinno to share our learnings with the world. We are talking about information, in many cases unprecedented, on trends, threats, and opportunities that can help create a positive, real, and measurable impact in our environment. Comments Daniel Medina, director of strategy and innovation at Opinno and co-author of the report alongside Christian Ull.
