Our job was to come up with innovative business methods and tools to make the change happen. But before we got to stat stage, there were a lot of preliminary sessions where we wanted to find out about the company, their vision, and mission, and obviously what were the expected outcomes in connection with the plan of digital transformation. After having received the brief, we started to work on the plan; The client was involved in the development process each step of the way.
At the first meeting, a series of four groups formed of executives were assigned the responsibility to research innovation opportunities. Our innovation consultants trained the teams in how to identify the latest tech trends that could positively impact their industry and how to transform them into opportunities for growth
Agile project development and open innovation
We offered a wide range of services to help innovation groups function better. The groups responsible for bringing in innovative ideas learned about Lean, Design Thinking and Agile methodologies.

Open innovation is the idea that companies cannot rely only on internal resources to innovate and stay competitive. The solution is to bring in external technology and ideas into the internal innovation process. Open innovation sits in contrast with vertical integration where innovation originating in the company’s R&D facilities is kept internally to create products distributed by the company.
Training in Identifying opportunities and challenges
This programme focuses on enabling teams to tackle the first stage in any innovation cycle, ranging from benchmarking to formulating innovation challenges. During the stage, the team was trained in technological scouting techniques, generation of internal and external surveillance networks, analysis and use of information and formulation of challenges.
Opinno’s Innovation Bootcamp
Our innovation boot camp is an intense learning experience that’s meant to transform the way our client understands and practices innovation. Teams learned to approach problem-solving through methodologies like Lean, Design Thinking and Agile methodologies.
This program trained the team to develop a project from idea through to validation of the business model.
Agile Implementation Module
We advised the company to work by the principles of the agile methodology. As described in a previous article, the principles of the Agile are the prioritization of individuals and interactions over tedious process and tools; working software over comprehensive documentation; customer collaboration over contract negotiation; and responding to change over following a plan.
Teams went through a series of training sessions to learn how to identify innovation opportunities and challenges. In the Innovation Bootcamp, executives learned how to apply the principles of Lean, Agile and Design Thinking methodology to launch and structure innovative projects.
Our purpose was to train and guide teams to create a digital transformation plan that when implemented, will produce the expected outcomes. With our support, the company reduced the risk and uncertainty in researching and implementing innovation processes and improved the innovation culture of the organization.
