Opinno Mexico enjoys a close collaborative relationship with AWS, acting as an Innovation Partner in initiatives with its clients that require external support.
For the development of the workshops based on the AWS methodology, a multidisciplinary team has been created with the AWS Digital Innovation team that supports Latin America. Opinno is in charge of the methodological and executive part of the workshops.
The workshops started last March and aim to improve the innovation capabilities of the participants. With more than 400 attendees so far, they have attracted a multidisciplinary audience integrating technical and business profiles and counting with the presence of CEOs, CIOs, sales, marketing, transformation, and innovation directors from all types of companies.
"Since this is a Design Thinking exercise, it is essential to have the business vision of the attendees to complement the technical profiles". Mercedes Bouzas Esteban, Business Development Director at Opinno Mexico, comments. "The most interesting thing is that at the end of the workshop, each AWS customer can develop tech prototypes in their companies with the help of Amazon."
A manufacturing company is not the same as a retail or software company, so each attendee selects their own challenge through an initial analysis and prioritization exercise to finally create the so-called Press Release. A document that makes progress in the launch of a specific product or service for each attendee company and that with the help and technology of AWS ends up becoming a working prototype.
"With the accelerated growth we are experiencing in Amazon Web Services, especially in Latin America, it is essential for us to find strategic alliances," said Elisa Escalante, project manager at AWS. "In Opinno, we not only found experts that proactively help our customers with their innovation strategies, but also an ally that understands and shares our culture and obsession with our customers.
Due to the success of the initiative, Elisa has recently been recognized as a High Potential in AWS worldwide.
Thanks to the good reception of the innovation workshops, they are scheduled to continue indefinitely. In addition, based on the convening power of AWS with its customers and its well-known focus on "Customer Obsession", Mercedes Bouza is developing Customer Obsession Days to show different companies how to apply this principle with their customers. The first day will be held in Buenos Aires soon.
