Starting the year with a special Master's breakfast, this time we gave a warm welcome to David Hernandez, a problem solver and Lover of Python (Programming Language with Dynamic Semantics). In addition, David is a Red Hat Technical Support Engineer. During his visit David spoke of the revolution that the Kubernetes have introduced into cloud environments, virtually through containers.

The transformation through technology goes back tens of years with the rise of the Internet, or perhaps hundreds of years ago with the invention of printing. When we talk about Digital Transformation, we mean the process of using digital technologies to create new or modified business processes, business culture and customer experiences that can meet ever-changing market requirements. 

Technologies that stimulate digital transformation such as big data, mobile, cloud, containers, and kubernetes can be considered open source. Because digital transformations are driven by technology, this also makes them open source. In addition, open source refers to any program whose source code is made available for use or modification.

As a result, the Kubernetes also known as K8S arrives, although it is easy to get lost in the details of the Kubernetes, basically acting as a container or microservice platform that orchestrates the workloads of the compute, network, and storage infrastructure. Kubernetes make it easy to organize and operate applications in a microservice architecture. To do this, you create an abstraction layer on top of a host group so that development teams can deploy their applications and allow Kubernetes to manage key elements. Professionals have converted it for four main reasons. 

1- Kubernetes allows you to offer a self-service platform (PaaS) 

2- Kubernetes is profitable 

3- Rulers can work with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This means that your computer can move workloads without having to redesign applications or fully rethink infrastructures.

 4- Amazon EKS, Google Cloud Kubernetes Engine, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Red Hat Openshift, and IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service provide complete management of the Kubernetes platform. 

As a result, being open to change and the adoption of new technologies has never been easier. As the world evolves, it also brings with it many tools to manage these modifications for any company to implement without losing its mind or breaking its budgets.
