Employee experience and leadership: how to create a motivated and engaged team, by Alejandro Briceño
Nailted, a software development company designed to work on the employee experience, held an in-person event on Thursday 9 March at the Google for Startups Campus in Madrid.Under the title "Impact your company's culture by working on the employee experience", Nailted held a meeting with the aim of helping HR and People & Culture experts from technology companies and/or companies with remote/distributed teams to create the best possible experience for their employees.
The Nailted event, presented by Celia Selmes, General Manager at Nailted Academy, featured presentations by Alejandro Briceño, Culture & Communities Director at Opinno, and Eduardo Núñez, People Business Partner Manager at Cabify.
Alejandro Briceño, Culture & Communities Director at Opinno, stressed that HR should have a more strategic role in organisations, based on measuring results. Throughout his presentation, he highlighted two main points: listening to the needs and expectations of employees, allowing managers to create procedures that meet those expectations and ways to measure results, in order to offer a better employee experience; and putting a greater focus on culture, reviewing the leadership and culture model of the company, defining what tools they have to streamline processes and paying special attention to open spaces for people to think and relax. Referring to the best way to analyse and work on the employee experience Alejandro stressed: "Employee experience is very important and we can measure it, but for that we need a tool in which we have everything integrated".
